Roger E. Goodman is the state senator for Washington's 45th Legislative District. He earned his associate's degree from Bellevue College in 1970. Goodman earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington in 1972. Goodman served as director of public affairs and city administrator for Redmond from 1977 to 1988. He later served as city manager for Kirkland from 1988 to 2001. Goodman has been recognized for his work in city government with various awards including ICMA's Distinguished Service Award. He has served as a Washington state senator since 2002. Goodman's committee assignments include Higher Education, Rules, Ways & Means, and Early Learning & K-12 Education committees.
