Biography
Kevin Waters is a Republican state representative serving Washington's 17th Legislative District, which includes Skamania County and parts of Southwest Washington. A fourth-generation Southwest Washingtonian from Stevenson, he is the first Skamania County resident in over 85 years to serve in the Washington State Legislature. He manages his family's Backwoods Brewing, growing it from its 2012 founding to over 70 employees, and has served as Port of Skamania Commissioner , economic development manager for Skamania County, and executive director of Skamania EDC. Waters is married to Jami, with two daughters, Lindsey and Avery.
Notable achievements and positions: Ranking Minority Member on the House State Government & Tribal Relations Committee; member of the Joint Community Economic Revitalization Board Committee. He is an active community leader on several local boards.
