Biography
Davina Duerr is a Democratic member of the Washington State House of Representatives representing District 1, Position 1. A longtime Bothell resident and architect, she was appointed to the House on July 1, 2019, succeeding Derek Stanford, and was elected to a full term in 2020. She focuses on affordable housing, transportation, climate change, environmental justice, and creating walkable communities. Notable achievements include co-founding the M.I.L.K. Money Project to support underprivileged and homeless students, serving as former Deputy Mayor and councilmember for Bothell , and chairing the Bothell Landmarks Preservation Board for over 10 years. Currently, she chairs the Local Government Committee, serves on the Environment & Energy and Transportation Committees, and is a member of the Member of Color Caucus and Housing for All Caucus.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in architecture with a minor in environmental geography from Syracuse University.
- Professional Experience: Senior interior architect at a Bellevue firm.
