Biography
Nicole Macri is a Democratic member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing the 43rd Legislative District in Seattle, which includes neighborhoods such as Downtown, Belltown, South Lake Union, Capitol Hill, University District, and Fremont. First elected in 2016 and serving since 2017, she is a leader in housing justice, homelessness solutions, health care access, and LGBTQ+ protections. Notable achievements include advancing the Housing First movement, expanding affordable housing and mental health care, and receiving awards like the 2022 Human Right to Housing Award from the National Homelessness Law Center and recognition as one of Seattle's most influential people by Seattle Magazine and Seattle Met . She currently serves as Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Committee, sits on the Health Care & Wellness Committee, and co-chairs the Legislative LGBTQ Caucus.
