Representative April Connors is a Republican serving her second term in the Washington State House of Representatives for the 8th Legislative District, based in Kennewick. A lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities area, she resides there with her husband and four children. In November 2024, she was elected House Republican Floor Leader by her peers, leading caucus strategy and floor activities. Previously, she served as Assistant Republican Whip from 2023 to 2025. Connors is also a successful residential real estate professional and small business owner. Notable achievements include sponsoring House Bill 1191, signed into law by Gov. Bob Ferguson, which expands mortgage access for manufactured homeowners, and her involvement in a housing case that reached the U.S. Supreme Court.
