ABOUT
Shelby Slawson is an attorney from Louisville who recently left private practice to start a nonprofit. She also serves on the board of a local library. Slawson grew up in a military family and moved often before settling in Kentucky. She attended the University of Louisville on an ROTC scholarship and later the University of Kentucky College of Law. After law school, Slawson worked at a firm specializing in equine law. She left private practice in 2021 to launch a nonprofit focused on literacy and founded the Wild Acceleration Community Center which provides free tutoring.read less
