Biography
Terri Leo-Wilson is a Republican representative for Texas House District 23, which includes Chambers County and part of Galveston County. First elected in 2023, she is recognized as the most conservative freshman member of the 88th Legislative Session and ranked 9th most conservative overall in a Rice University poll. Notable achievements include passing more legislation than the average House member in her first session, receiving the American Exceptionalism Award from Americans for Prosperity for curriculum work promoting free-enterprise education, and honors as a TFRW Tribute to Women Honoree and Texas Star Award recipient from the Texas Women's Alliance. She previously served three unpaid terms on the State Board of Education , acting as Vice Chairman and committee chairs. Currently, she serves on committees including Juvenile Justice & Family Issues, Pensions, Investments & Financial Services, Intergovernmental Affairs , and Public Education. She resides on Galveston Island with her husband Dave, five children, and five grandchildren.
