Biography

Jake Ellzey, born on January 24, 1970, in Amarillo, Texas, is a Republican politician representing Texas's 6th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. Raised in Perryton, Texas, he pursued a career in the U.S. Navy, serving as a fighter pilot for 20 years. During his military service, Ellzey was deployed nine times, including five combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. He concluded his naval career as the Air Boss on the USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier. After retiring from the military, Ellzey transitioned to roles as a commercial airline pilot, small business owner, and commissioner on the Texas Veterans Commission. He resides in Ellis County, Texas, with his wife, Shelby, and their two children.
