Destiny LeVere Bolling is an American Democratic politician and union leader from Virginia. Born and raised in a small town on the Northern Neck of Virginia, she developed an early passion for public service and fighting for change after growing up in a community where she felt people in leadership didn't reflect her background.

Throughout her career, Bolling has worked as an educator in underserved communities, volunteered at her local church, and served as Communications Director of the Virginia AFL-CIO, where she advocated for the rights of over 330,000 union members and their families across the Commonwealth. She and her husband Chris live in Henrico, Virginia, where they manage three family-owned small businesses.

Education and Political Experience

Bolling is a graduate of the University of Richmond , where she double majored in political science and international affairs. During her sophomore year, she participated in a Sophomore Scholars in Residence program focused on combating human trafficking, which solidified her commitment to pursuing a career in public policy.

She was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in the 2023 election, with support from Emerge Virginia, a nonprofit organization that supports Democratic women running for office, as well as endorsement from Governor Ralph Northam. In her first year as a delegate, Bolling passed legislation focused on emergency response training for professionals caring for individuals with neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's disease.

In 2025, shortly after giving birth to a daughter, Bolling became the first woman in Virginia permitted to vote remotely and the first legislator allowed to do so because of childbirth.
