Bonita Anthony

Bonita Grace Anthony is a Democratic member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing the 92nd District, which encompasses parts of Norfolk and Chesapeake. A proud Norfolk native with deep ancestral roots in Chesapeake, she has been serving in the House of Delegates since January 2024. Anthony comes from a pro-labor union household and remains committed to advocating for working families and economic opportunity for all Virginians.

Education

Anthony holds a diverse educational background that combines engineering and theology:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Old Dominion University
• Master of Engineering in Modeling and Simulation Engineering from Old Dominion University
• Master of Divinity from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University

Political Experience

Anthony serves on several key committees and commissions:

• Member of the House Finance, Privileges & Elections, and Transportation committees
• Chair of the Subcommittee for Online & Data Protections within the Joint Commission on Technology and Science
• Board member of the Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization
• Member of the Commission to End Hunger

As a delegate, Anthony has focused on advancing legislation in education and workforce development, public safety, data privacy protection, and food insecurity. She is a university administrator by profession and an ordained minister with Faith Deliverance Christian Center, Inc.
