Delores McQuinn
Delores L. McQuinn was born on November 26, 1954, in Henrico County, Virginia. She is an American politician of the Democratic Party and an ordained reverend. McQuinn is married to Jonathan McQuinn and has two children: James E. Minor III and Daytriel J.
Political Experience
McQuinn has represented the 81st district in the Virginia House of Delegates since winning a special election in 2009. The 81st district comprises parts of Chesterfield, Henrico, and Charles City Counties and the City of Richmond.
Prior to her service in the House of Delegates, McQuinn was a member of the Richmond City Council, where she established herself as a community leader dedicated to constituent service.
Notable Achievements and Positions
Throughout her tenure in the House of Delegates, McQuinn has demonstrated consistent electoral strength, never receiving less than 73% of the vote in a Democratic primary or general election. She currently serves as Chair of the House Transportation Committee and holds memberships on the Education, Appropriations, and Rules committees. Additionally, she serves as vice chair of the General Assembly's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Commission.
