Biography
Joanna King is a Republican member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing District 49 . She assumed office on December 21, 2020, after being appointed by a private GOP caucus to replace Christy Stutzman. A businesswoman, King started a pretzel business after high school and co-operates the King Corporation with her husband, focusing on tourism and hospitality. She serves on the Courts and Criminal Code, Government and Regulatory Reform, and Public Health committees. Notable involvement includes serving as president of the Middlebury Community School Board and boards of local non-profits; she is a 2024 graduate of the Bowhay Institute. She ran unsuccessfully for the Indiana Senate in 2016.
