Representative Mike Aylesworth

Michael Jerome Aylesworth was born on March 24, 1943. He is a Republican member of the Indiana House of Representatives, currently serving District 11, which represents portions of Jasper, Lake, Newton, and Porter counties in southern Indiana.

Political Experience

Aylesworth was first elected to the Indiana House of Representatives on November 4, 2014, defeating his opponent with 56.7% of the vote . He was sworn into office on November 19, 2014, and has served continuously since that time.

As a state representative, Aylesworth serves on the Agriculture Committee. His district has historically encompassed areas in southern Lake and Porter County.

Business Background

Beyond his legislative work, Aylesworth has significant business experience. In April 2002, he co-founded Iroquois Bio Energy Company, an ethanol production company based in Rensselaer, Indiana. He served as the company's first president and as a member of its board of directors.
