Biography
Garrett Bascom is a Republican member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing District 68, which includes all of Dearborn, Ohio, and Switzerland counties, and a portion of Jefferson County. He assumed office on November 19, 2024, after taking the oath on November 20, 2024.
Garrett Bascom is a Dearborn County native, attorney, and politician from Lawrenceburg, Indiana. He serves as a Republican state representative for House District 68. Prior to his election, he worked in the Indiana Attorney General's Office as assistant director of operations, special assistant to the attorney general, and deputy attorney general, and as deputy prosecutor in Dearborn County. In 2023, he founded his own private law practice, Bascom Law LLC. No major legislative achievements are noted yet, given his recent entry into office.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in communication and new media studies from Mount St. Joseph University; law degree from Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
