Biography

David William Gomberg is a Democrat representing Oregon House District 10, which covers Lincoln County and western portions of Benton and Lane Counties along the central Oregon coast. Elected in 2012, he has focused on small business support, government accountability, emergency response, public education, environmental sustainability, disability and elder rights, and collecting delinquent state taxes. Notable achievements include delivering $70 million in infrastructure investments for the coast and Coastal Range, securing $1 million for homelessness in his district, leading investments in small businesses and workforce development, and supporting healthcare, seniors, and veterans. He serves as vice-chair of the Joint Ways & Means Committee, co-chair of its Transportation & Economic Development subcommittee, and holds positions on the Ways & Means General Government subcommittee, Joint Committee on Legislative Audits, House Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection, Emergency Board, Governor’s Commission on Senior Services, Oregon Innovation Council, Seismic Safety Commission, and Ocean Science Trust. Prior to politics, he co-owned a kite design, manufacturing, and sales business for 30 years and is now retired from small business ownership. He and his wife Susan support community organizations, raising over $500,000 for schools, museums, and education nonprofits, including work with disabled children in South Africa.
