Court Boice is a Republican representing District 1 in the Oregon House of Representatives, covering Coos, Curry, and Douglas Counties. Born in Gold Beach, Curry County, he has lived his entire life in District 1 and emphasizes faith, family, business, and government in his background. Notable achievements include rescuing six men by jet boat during a 1997 Rogue River flood and chasing down a bank robber in 2011 who shot at him, leading to the criminal's 30-year sentence. He positions himself as a leader in natural resources, fire awareness, prevention, response, suppression, and recovery, and has been endorsed by pro-business, pro-family, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-life groups, police, farming, timber, tourism, and fishing interests.
