Biography
Linda Rogers is a Republican state senator representing District 11 in the Indiana State Senate, covering portions of Elkhart and St. Joseph counties. Elected in 2018, she resides in Granger with her husband, Mike, and has one daughter, Michelle Wittig, and two grandchildren.
Rogers has nearly 40 years as a small business owner in the Michiana area, operating Juday Creek Golf Course and Nugent Builders, Inc., a custom home builder. She previously ran restaurants named Lindy’s in Southwest Michigan and Elkhart County. She is the first woman elected president of the Indiana Builders Association and the National Golf Course Owners Association , as well as the first female president of the Home Builders Association of St. Joseph Valley and a founding president of the Indiana Golf Course Owners Association .
Notable achievements include a perfect 100% voting record in the 2026 legislative session, recognition as one of Indiana's most effective senators, and awards such as the 2019 John C. Hart Award , 2021 AIM Legislator of the Year, 2019 Legislative Champion of the Year , and the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence Award.
She chairs the Senate Committee on Pensions and Labor and serves on the committees for Education and Career Development, Elections, Family and Children Services, Tax and Fiscal Policy, and the School Funding Subcommittee.
