Senator Stacey Donato

Stacey Ann Donato is an American politician serving as a member of the Indiana State Senate, representing the 18th district. She assumed office on September 11, 2019, after being appointed to succeed Randall Head. She resides in Logansport with her husband, Jim, and has two children and two grandchildren.

Outside of politics, Donato has worked as an accountant and office manager for car dealerships, bringing more than 30 years of professional experience in automotive dealership accounting. She also serves as an independent accountant for several local businesses in her community.

Political Experience

Party and District: Donato is a Republican representing Indiana Senate District 18, which encompasses Cass, Fulton, and Miami counties, as well as portions of Howard and Kosciusko counties.

Legislative Positions: She serves as the ranking member on the Senate Committee on Family and Children Services and holds memberships on several other Senate committees, including Commerce and Technology; Education and Career Development; Elections; Pensions and Labor; and Utilities.

Prior Experience: Before her election to the state senate, Donato served on the Cass County Council for seven years.

Civic Involvement: Donato is active in numerous community organizations, including the Indiana Farm Bureau, Grissom Air Force Reserve Base Community Council, Logansport/Cass County Rotary Club, Cass County Republican Women, and the Advisory Board of the Emergency Management Association. She is also involved in her church as a Eucharistic minister and choir member.
