Steven B. Raga was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He earned his B.A. from University of Southern California in 1992. He served as Adjunct Faculty at Hawaii Pacific University from 1997 to 2010. He was elected to the Hawaii State Senate in 2006. In 2008, Raga was appointed to the Education Committee. Raga has served on numerous community boards. From 2003-2006 he chaired the Kalihi-Palama Public Library Advisory Commission. He was a leader of the progressive movement for equal marriage rights in the state of Hawaii.read less
