Kurt A. Vail was born in Minnesota in 1977. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Minnesota State University Moorhead and went on to work as an analytical chemist in North Dakota. He serves as a state representative in district 17B, first elected in 2016. His previous political experience includes serving on the Park Rapids School Board from 2006 to 2014. Vail is currently a member of the Agriculture and Food Finance and Policy Division; Education Policy; Higher Education Finance and Policy; Taxes committees.read less
