ABOUT
Judith Zaffirini was born February 15, 1946 in the border city of Laredo. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a JD from the University of Texas Law School. Senator Zaffirini was first elected to the Texas Senate in 1986. She currently serves as Chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Higher Education, and is a member of the Finance, Natural Resources & Economic Development, and Administration Committees.read less
