Biography
Stan Kitzman is a Republican serving as the State Representative for Texas House District 85, which includes Austin, Colorado, Fayette, Waller, Wharton, and a portion of Fort Bend counties. A retired small business owner from Pattison in Waller County, he is a 2nd-term legislator noted for his military service, including 21 years in the Texas Army National Guard with three deployments for Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning the Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star Medal, and Texas Faithful Service Medal. He was rated the 7th most effective member of the Texas House at the end of the 88th Legislature and advocates for protecting agriculture, water, energy, and combating child trafficking.
