John Liu is the New York City Comptroller. Liu graduated from Binghamton University and earned a Master's in Public Administration from Baruch College. He served on the New York City Council representing parts of northeast Queens. As Comptroller, Liu serves as the investment advisor to, and custodian and trustee of, the New York City Employees’ Retirement System and Teachers’ Retirement System, with combined assets exceeding $120 billion. He also serves as the custodian and investment advisor to the New York City Police and Fire Department pension funds.read less
