ABOUT
Iwen Chu was born in Taiwan and moved to the United States at age 11. He attended public schools in Queens, New York and earned a B.A. in Economics from Stony Brook University. After college, Chu worked in finance before shifting to a career in technology. He co-founded a software company focused on financial applications. More recently, Chu served as Head of Product for a health technology startup developing tools to fight the opioid crisis. Chu lives with his wife and two young children in Huntington, New York. If elected, he would be the first Taiwanese American member of Congress.read less
