Hodan Hassan was born in Somalia and immigrated to the U.S. in 1997. She earned her Bachelor's in Business Administration and Political Science at Metropolitan State University. Hassan has spent nearly two decades as a policy aide and community organizer. She served on the board of the League of Women Voters and chaired the Minneapolis Charter Commission. In 2018, she was appointed to the Metropolitan Council.read less
