This Act creates the Diamond State Hospital Cost Review Board, which will be responsible for an annual review of hospital budgets and related financial information. The Board will have 7 members: 6 appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate, and the Executive Director of the Delaware Healthcare Association. This Act creates a requirement that hospitals submit yearly budgets, audited financial statements, and related financial information to the Board for review.

ABOUT
Deshanna U Neal was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her parents were both in the medical field, and she followed in their footsteps to become a pharmacist. After earning degrees from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy and University of Mississippi, Neal worked in hospital, retail, and long-term care pharmacy settings. In 2020, Neal ran to represent Louisiana's 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. House. During her campaign, she emphasized expanding access to affordable healthcare and bringing more infrastructure investment to the district. Though unsuccessful in her Congressional bid, Neal continues to be active in politics and pharmacy.read less
