ABOUT
Allison Tant graduated from Florida State University in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in political science. She later earned her law degree from the Florida State University College of Law. After law school, Tant worked at the law firm of Broad and Cassel before being named a partner. She focused her legal work on land use, real estate development, local government law, and administrative law. In 1998, Tant was elected to the Leon County Commission, representing the residents of District 5. She served for eight years before returning to practicing law. Tant was later elected chair of the Florida Democratic Party in 2013.read less
