Lauren Melo is a Republican representing District 82 in the Florida House of Representatives. Born on August 30, 1966, in Naples, Florida, she resides in Naples with her husband, Robert Melo, and their three children: Rachele, Dare, and Annabelle. A conservative businesswoman, she founded a trucking company in 1991 that grew to over 100 trucks and currently owns a successful real estate brokerage firm. She overcame breast cancer while managing her business and supporting her son during his combat deployment in Afghanistan. Melo is a Christian with interests in football, horses, and family time. Notable achievements include her advocacy for Second Amendment rights, veterans, economic growth, and reducing bureaucracy; she serves as president of the Naples Area Board of REALTORS®, and holds board positions with the Florida Association of REALTORS®, National Association of REALTORS®, Southwest Florida Truckers Association, and HELP . She also volunteers as a Guardian Ad Litem and was president of the Naples Seahorse Riding Club.
