Walter F. Timilty is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts State Senate, representing the Norfolk, Bristol and Plymouth district. He was first elected to the chamber in 2012. He has sponsored legislation including An Act creating a commission on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth mental health. Timilty serves on several committees including the Joint Committee on Elder Affairs, the Joint Committee on Election Laws, the Joint Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security, and the Joint Committee on Transportation. He has previously served as a State Representative and Chair of the Milton Board of Selectmen.read less
