Biography

Hannah Kane is a Republican State Representative for the 11th Worcester District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the towns of Shrewsbury and Westborough. Born in 1971 in Maine, she resides in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, and was first sworn into office on April 8, 2015, succeeding Matt Beaton; she began her sixth term in January 2025. Notable achievements include sponsoring legislation enacted into law, such as creating a Women’s Rights History Trail, increasing access to cancer clinical trials, establishing a Rare Disease Advisory Council, updating parentage laws, improving local and regional public health efficiency, and enhancing public safety with marijuana legalization.
