Stephanie Sawyer Clayton serves as representative for Tennessee's 45th house district. She was first elected on December 5, 2006. Clayton earned her BA at Western Kentucky University in 1976 and JD from University of Tennessee College of Law in 1979. Prior to her election she worked as an attorney. Clayton serves on the House Government Operations Committee; Joint Government Operations Committee; and House Calendar & Rules Committee, where she is the Vice Chair.
