Shawn A. Vedaa was born and raised in North Dakota. He attended North Dakota State University where he studied political science and criminal justice. After college, Shawn joined the U.S. Army Reserve and served for over 20 years. He was deployed to Iraq and received numerous awards and decorations before retiring at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer Four. Upon returning home, Shawn worked in correctional facilities. He also serves on several local boards and commissions where he advocates for veterans, law enforcement, and first responders.read less
