Jared C. Hagert is a Republican who served as a state representative for North Dakota House District 20, representing Emerado. A farmer and small business owner, he owned and operated Hagert Farms, served as president of Integrated Ag Services, LLC, and was president of the United Soybean Board. He also held the position of township supervisor. Hagert was elected in November 2018, assumed office on December 1, 2018 , and resigned effective February 9, 2026, to accept a position with the Farm Service Agency in Washington, DC.

• Political Experience: Served in the North Dakota House of Representatives from 2021-2026 for District 20. Notable positions include voting in support of pro-education policies 77.8% of the time and against book bans and penalties for librarians.
