Sarah Siddiqui Wolek is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 16 in Montgomery County. She was sworn in on April 3, 2023, and serves on the House Appropriations Committee, including its Education and Economic Development Subcommittee and Oversight Committee on Pensions. Notable achievements include being the first Muslim woman to serve in the Maryland General Assembly and co-founding the Maryland Muslim Caucus in February 2026. She is also involved with Women Legislators of Maryland and the Maryland Legislative Asian-American and Pacific-Islander Caucus . Wolek is married with three children and has been active in community organizations like Bethesda Urban Partnership, Bethesda Green, and Montgomery County Muslim Foundation.
