Robert C. "Bobby" Scott has served as the U.S. Representative for Virginia's 3rd congressional district since 1993. Scott previously served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1978 to 1983 and the Senate of Virginia from 1983 to 1993. Scott was born on April 30, 1947 in Washington, D.C. He received a B.A. from Harvard College in 1969 and a J.D. from Boston College Law School in 1973. Scott served in the United States Army JAG Corps from 1973 to 1974.
