Eleanor Holmes Norton, a Democrat, represents District of Columbia in U.S. House of Representatives. She graduated from Antioch College in 1960 and Yale Law School in 1964. She was a law professor and worked at the American Civil Liberties Union and the New York City Commission on Human Rights before serving as chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Norton was elected as a Democratic delegate to the House of Representatives in 1990, and continues to serve.
