Nikki Budzinski is the Democratic nominee for Congress in Illinois' 13th district. She previously served as chief of staff in the Office of the Illinois Governor. Prior to that, Budzinski worked at the Department of Labor and served as Senior Labor Advisor at the White House Office of Management and Budget under President Obama. She also worked for multiple labor unions including the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union. Budzinski grew up in Peoria, IL and received degrees in political science and economics. She currently lives in Springfield with her husband and two children.read less
