Hillary Scholten was born and raised in Michigan. She earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. After law school, Hillary served as a legal aid attorney. In this role, Hillary fought for working families across West Michigan who were facing unlawful evictions and wrongful foreclosures. She also served as an adjunct professor at Michigan State University College of Law.
