Requiring the Department of Human Services to provide food supplement benefits to students who are residents of the State, are enrolled in an institution of higher education for at least 15 credit hours per year, whose family contribution is expected to be $0, and who are eligible to participate in a certain work study program; and requiring, for fiscal year 2027 and each fiscal year thereafter, the Governor to include in the annual budget bill an appropriation sufficient to reimburse the Department for certain expenditures.

ABOUT
Eric D. Ebersole was born on March 17, 1960 in Petersburg, West Virginia. He earned his B.A. degree from Furman University in 1982 and his M.A. degree from the University of Maryland in 1988. Ebersole taught social studies in Howard County Public Schools from 1984 to 2006. He was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2006, where he served District 12 residents in Howard and Baltimore Counties. In 2014, Ebersole joined the faculty at Stevenson University as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Education. He continues to serve in the Maryland House of Delegates and resides in Columbia.read less
