Biography
Anthony J. DeLuca is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives representing the 80th district since his appointment in March 2009, succeeding George Scully, Jr. The district covers parts of Chicago Heights, Homewood, Flossmoor, Park Forest, and other Southland communities. A businessman, he has worked in residential, commercial, and industrial sales at Republic Services since 2012 and was director of operations at the family-owned Skyline Disposal Company from 1987-2012; he is a member of International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 731. Previously, he served as Mayor of Chicago Heights , President of Bloom Township High School District 206 Board of Education , and Director of Chicago Heights Small Fry Basketball League. He chairs the Cities & Villages Committee, co-chairs the Insurance Review Subcommittee, and serves on committees including Cybersecurity, Data Analytics & IT, Insurance, Prescription Drug Affordability, and Local Government Subcommittee. Married to Sarah with three children; resides in Chicago Heights.
