William M. Colton was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He attended public schools and graduated with honors from Brooklyn College. He ran a travel agency and has served as Legislative Director in the City Council. Mr. Colton was elected to the Assembly in November 2002. He serves as the Chair of the Assembly Committee on Oversight, Analysis and Investigation. He successfully passed legislation to reform the oversight of state contracts, expand opportunities for service disabled veteran owned businesses & strengthen MWBE programs.read less
