Ronald B. Ellis is from Smyrna, Delaware. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Salisbury State College. Ellis is on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Delaware, the Latin American Community Center, and Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. Ellis served on Smyrna Town Council from 1992 until 2000, including four years as mayor of Smyrna. He was elected to the state House in 2000 and served four terms before joining the state Senate in 2008. Ellis was elected Senate Minority Whip in 2018.read less
