He attended Catholic grade school and graduated from Middletown High School in 1972. In 1980, Francis graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He later obtained his Master's degree in Educational Administration from Xavier University. After college, Francis worked as a teacher and administrator in the public school system for over 30 years. He served as principal at several area high schools before retiring in 2012. In retirement, Francis remains active in educational organizations and volunteers his time mentoring youth in the community. He resides in Middletown with his wife Joan. They have two adult children and three grandchildren.read less
