Mike McKay is running for SD-6 Senate in South Dakota. He was born in 1935 and graduated from the University of South Dakota. McKay served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1960. He was a teacher and coach before serving as Superintendent of Custer School District from 1977-1995. He then worked for the South Dakota Department of Education until retiring in 2004. McKay's priorities if elected are expanding broadband access, workforce development, and maintaining infrastructure.read less
