Maria Elena Durazo is the Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO. She was previously Executive Vice President of UNITE HERE International Union. Durazo serves as Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee. She also serves on the boards of the National Employment Law Project and Restaurant Opportunities Centers United. Durazo earned her B.A. in French Literature at St. Mary's College in Moraga, California. She also studied at the Universite de Dijon in France.read less
