Biography
Lucetta Elmer is a Republican representing House District 24 in the Oregon State Legislature. An Oregon native raised on a small farm in Yamhill County between Willamina and Sheridan, she married her high school sweetheart, Denny Elmer, with whom she has four children, all pursuing entrepreneurial paths. Elmer has built a career in small business, starting with payroll for her father's timber business at age 15, later owning businesses, investing in real estate, and founding her own school. She has served on civic committees including the McMinnville Chamber of Commerce and McMinnville Downtown Association. Notable achievements include championing workforce housing, certificate of need exemptions, removal of business regulations, opposing new taxes as Vice-Chair of the House Business & Labor Committee, addressing Oregon's addiction crisis by supporting law enforcement tools, and advocating for education improvements as a mother of four. She emphasizes bipartisan collaboration for Oregonians and future generations.
