John A. Polk is serving his 9th term in Congress. Polk serves on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the House Committee on Small Business. Prior to serving in Congress, Polk was a member of the state legislature. He also owned several small businesses. Polk is known as a staunch fiscal conservative focused on reducing government spending and cutting taxes. He is also an advocate for rebuilding the nation's infrastructure, especially roads and bridges in rural areas.read less
