Biography

Joseph Edgar "Joey" Fillingane is a Republican state senator representing District 41 in the Mississippi State Senate, covering Covington, Forrest, Jefferson Davis, Lamar, and Marion counties. He has served in the Senate since 2007 and previously represented District 101 in the Mississippi House of Representatives from 2000 to 2006. An attorney by profession and a member of the Southern Baptist faith, he is affiliated with the National Rifle Association and the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce.
