James Gary Pretlow is a member of the New York State Assembly. He represents Assembly District 89, which includes Elmont, Floral Park, Floral Terrace, New Hyde Park, South Floral Park, and parts of Franklin Square and North Valley Stream. Pretlow graduated from Duquesne University where he obtained a B.A. degree. He then graduated from Hofstra University School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree. He is an attorney and small business owner residing in Elmont. Pretlow was a New York State Assembly Member from 1993-2000 and returned to the State Assembly in 2005.read less
