Senator Chris Gorsek is a Democrat representing District 25 in Oregon, which includes Gresham, Fairview, Troutdale, and Wood Village. He is an educator, father, grandfather, and former police officer who lives in Gresham with his wife Jackie after 20 years in Troutdale. Education and Political Experience

Gorsek has taught geography and law enforcement at Mount Hood Community College since 1996. He served seven years as a police officer with the Portland Police Bureau, patrolling east side neighborhoods. In the Oregon Senate, he serves as Co-Chair of the Joint Transportation Committee and Joint Interstate Bridge Committee, and as a member of the Special Subcommittee on Transportation Planning, the Public Safety Subcommittee of Joint Ways and Means, and the Senate Committee on Veterans and Emergency Management.
